Open to everyone, professionals, amateurs and photography lovers, the competition is dedicated to pictures taken in a mountainous environment and will end on 31 January 2013.

Conceived in the field of the "ITER_ Imaginez un Transport Efficace et Responsable" project, the photography competition theme is soft mobility, an alternative philosophy aiming at inducing people to give up old habits which are connected to the use of traditional and pollutant means of transport.

To take part in the photography competition, participants must fill in the registration form and send it by 31 January 2013, together with the picture in electronic .jpg format and of a high resolution, to Fondation Grand Paradis (Villaggio Minatori, Cogne) or to the Syndicat du Haut Chablais (Sous la Côte 74470 Vailly, France). The material can also be sent by mail to the following email addresses: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Jury members will award 4 prizes. The first one is an ascent to the Gran Paradiso for 5 people accompanied by a mountain guide. The second one is a weekend in Cogne, in the Gran Paradiso National Park, including a booking on half board at the Residence "Au vieux grenier" and two treatments at the Borney physiotherapy and massage centre. The author of the third selected picture will receive a €200 voucher, usable in every "Decathlon" shop in Europe for the purchase of a bike. Finally, a special prize is foreseen: a €150 "Decathlon" voucher for the purchase of a pair of roller blades attributed to the best photograph taken within the territory of the French valleys of Haut-Chablais and of the Aosta Valley valleys of Gran Paradiso.

The awarded pictures, together with 8 other photos selected by the jury, will be exhibited in the field of the Italy- France touring exhibition "Expo voyage –expérience ITER" (Imaginez un Transport Efficace et Responsable) and on LEDbacklitpanels at Gran Paradiso National Park visitors centre of Valsavarenche.
